About
I am an IT consultant and system engineer. I have been working in the IT industry for over 25 years, across different sectors and technologies, from web programming and network administration to virtualization, data protection and identity management.
My core competencies include VMware vSphere environments, Veeam backup and recovery systems, storage and Windows/Linux. I also have experience with firewalls (Palo Alto Networks and others), databases, and security tools.
I am used to collaborating with various departments and dealing with non-IT people including C-levels. I have the ability to understand different business contexts, analyze organizational processes, identify weak points and suggest improvements. I have been involved in budget preparations, vendor management and service provider negotiations.
I have professional proficiency in English and a good command of German (B2). I have worked in multinational companies and have been responsible for both the technical and non-technical integration with headquarters and a German subsidiary.
Since November 2023 I have been sharing tips, how-tos and insights on my blog at blog.tinivelli.com. The blog covers Veeam, VMware, IT infrastructure, AI and stock market topics, and currently receives around 1,000 views per month.
Thanks to my blogging and active participation in the Veeam Community forums and the Broadcom/VMware community, I have been recognised as a VMware vExpert and a Veeam Legend. As a Veeam Legend I am part of the V-100 group — an exclusive circle of Legends, Vanguards and MVPs — and I had the privilege of being invited to the V-100 Summits in Berlin (2024) and Prague (2025). Looking forward to Lisbon 2026!
